Thhe modern home can be more energy efficient  with regard to lighting by doing many things. Firsty, it is a true fact 30% of household electricity goes todards lighting. Using floresent lightining is one way that you can be more energy efficient. Florecent lighting is much less expensive and uses alot less energy. Alothough florecent lighing has mercury in it and mercury takes a while to break down it is a better option. There are disadvantages with every different type of lighting, but florecent would be the most energy efficient so far. LED lights are also another way the nodern home can come more energy efficient.
