Reflection 22/08/12

Today in design I printed off my 3D drawings on the vase, stand and vase and stand. I was really happy to get this done as it felt to good to have actually completed my vase. I found this Pro Desktop quite tricky at the start as it was confusing and I missed a couple of lessons throughout when we were learning. But thankfully I have caught up now and feel really up to date. I am really looking forward to designing and making my key tag to see how it will actually turn out! :)

Reflection

So far this term we have been working on a new program called pro desktop. This program is interesting as you can create 3D objects on it. We started to make a pager in the program last week but as I got sick at the end of last week I wasnt able to finish mine. By missing out on finishing mine I missed learning some useful skills that we will need to make our final product on Pro Desktop. I talked to Mr. Ward about this and he said they were skills that I could pretty quickly catch up on which is lucky for me! Today when I got back we started to make water bottles which I found really cool. This was interesting as you only had to make one half of the 2D bottle ans it duplicates it and makes it 3D for you. To be honest I found this a fair bit better than making the pager as it was easier and was more enjoyable. In todays lesson I made some water bottles that probably wouldnt be able to made and be that useful! But the whole experimenting was still alot of fun!
